Last call for nominations for Fund Directions Awards

Fund Directions editors ask readers to suggest trustees and independent counsel whose work should be recognized

The editors of Fund Directions would like to ask for your help honoring the accomplishments of your colleagues who serve as independent directors of fund boards or as attorneys who advise them.

We would like to make one more appeal for nominations before wrapping up the nomination and selection process for the Fund Director categories of the 2022 Mutual Fund and ETF Awards, which will be held in New York June 16.

We are looking for your suggestions for outstanding candidates in all five categories of the awards to be presented by Fund Directions:

Mutual Fund and ETF Award categories:
  • Trustee of the Year
  • Independent Counsel of the Year
  • Small Board Trustee of the Year
  • Newcomer Director
  • Fund Directions Lifetime Achievement Award

You can nominate people you work with directly, people whose work you know and respect or people you know only by reputation. You’re welcome to nominate people at your own company or even nominate yourselves.

Enter nominations by creating an account on the awards site, or by emailing FD editors directly through the FD letters-to-the editor address at FDLetters@withintelligence.com.

Nominations don’t take long and don’t require much information or the permission of the people you’re nominating. You can remain anonymous if you prefer. We need to know who you are, but won’t pass that information along to nominees if you ask not to be named.

We do need a few details, however, including:
  • The candidate’s name
  • Their company and/or board affiliation
  • The category in which they should be nominated
  • A summary of the events or accomplishments that made you want to honor them.

You’ll find thumbnail descriptions of the award categories below, which you can find online here (https://fundintelligence.evessiocloud.com/MFA/en/page/criteria), though that reference is quicker if you search for Fund Director Awards, which is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks, as always, for your help.

And, if you are or could be one of our award nominees, good luck.
