American Century Board Refines 15(c)







 



 Donald PrattThe Kansas City board of the American Century funds recently finished its annual 15(c) process and found the current market downturn affected its usual routine. To really dig deeply into the funds this year, the board took the entire fund line and split it up between directors, who each did an individual presentation on the funds' characteristics, age, size, fund flows, performance and fees. "It was overall a much more challenging process because of the recession, the impact on assets under management and the structure of peer groups," said Donald Pratt, chairman.
